I just got a very expensive cigar humador from a friend. Ive been keeping the kind buds in it so they dont get too dry and lose any flavor/smell. I love it. When I open the box a blueberry smell fills the room and the buds stay pliable. Whats the best humidity level to keep cured buds at?     | ||

The best humidity level? Is your cigar humador completely enclosed? I would say the lowest humidity possible without screwing up the other things you have in the humador but to be honest sir I dont really know. Sorry I have never been asked that before. ------------------ | ||

Must agree w/ Runner - smoke it! But outside of that you can grab (I forget the name of them) those glass airtight jars with the rubber stopper and the latch-lock thing. It helps but still... | ||

nutz - 70 degrees sounds about right. 70% humidity? When your growing bud indoors under light, 50% humidity is perfect. And thats for a growing plant. 70% during the budding cycle and I would be worried about mold forming on the colas if there isnt a ton of air moving. So, I would think 70% would be a problem for cured buds. They would pull in to much moisture. Havoc - thanks for the reply. I think the lowest humidity is probably good as long as the buds dont get brittle. Ill try 20% and let you know how it works. FYI - I dont keep anything else in the humidor. I dont smoke tobacco - only buds. Does anyone know what humidity cigars are kept at? | ||
