when you guys used to be small (when u started to lift) and got into the whole diet, drinking water schedule...what'd you tell people...? i'm a pretty small guy with absolutely NO size, but i'm working on it, and i'm on a pretty strict diet 6 outta the 7 days in the week, and it sucks, 'cuz people are always..."why are you doin' this diet..."..? and i can't just say, 'can't you tell'...b/c they actually can't...i'm sure once (if?) i get huge like ya'll are...then, i can carry around a gallon jug of H2O, and people will understand, but in the meantime, what am i supposed to say...? any suggestions/anecdotes?

Take it from someone who used to weigh 140 - tell them that you are trying to gain weight. If they continue to pester you tell them to fuck-off, and use their attitudes as added motivation.

i am still small and i know exactly what you are talking about. when i tell people that i follow a strict diet the either laugh or ask me why. i take an enormous amount of shit for eating the way i do but it ain't no thang but a chicken wang. i just tell them i'm trying to gain weight and i'm hungry all the time and leave it at that. just keep at it and know that one day people won't ask you why you are dieting...it will be obvious. and if you get sick of it you can always pummell them.

actually havoc or special_bill would be a couple of people you might want to talk to. they just started lifting and both are so skinny they have to run around in the shower to get wet and could probably empathize with you better than i could.

Just say this, "FUCK YOU!"

......works for me!

I hear ya little brotha. When I got into wanting size and bulked up that first time everybody laughed at me, "See, we knew it was only a matter of time before she GOT FAT." It hurt A LOT!

Now those same people won't even look at me, because they are so jealous - LOSERS!!!!

As a matter of fact today was chest and bis and my old training partner (poor anorexic thing - ripped to shreds ALL THE TIME) was messing with the 25# dumbbells and had to watch me juggle the 30's, then the 40's and finish incline presses w/50's.......sucks to be skinny!

Wow.

btw, I curl the shiny chrome 15lb d-bells sometimes. It's cool 'cause I can see my reflection at the top of each rep.

All of the bodybuilders in the gym just looked at me funny. Everyone else looked at me funny too. I was 6'2" and 150lbs. No one ever believed that I would now weigh nearly 300lbs. I worked hard for every ounce.

When I was 117 and started gaining I was lifting 8and12# weights.(think I didn't catch some shit) Just lift right eat right and when you surpass the guys still throwing the same wieght that was to heavy a year ago and eating crap you can look them in the eye and laugh. Your time will come if you stay devoted.
