SPAWN, you are WRONG. It was a Dem house and Congress. If it was up to Bush we would not have a seat belt law. He waived the helmet law here in TX as soon as he got in office. The dem Anne Richards put into law the helmet law in TX>
You Phuking people need to understand ONE THING about the DEMOCARTIC party. They want to protect you from yourself. Bush is for big business I will grant that. The companies that make ROIDs would love for them to be legal and bush is backed by big pharm co's.

I am in no way saying Bush would make roids legal. I am just saying that It was not the sole repulican president that made it illegal. I am not even sure the "Line Item Veto" was happening back then. I am not for sure, but I would be willing to bet the roid issue was written in with a bunch of other bills and nobody objected when the vote came down in congress.

True BRR and SB, the line item veto was in for six months under clinton and the U.S. Supreme Court kicked it as being unconstitutional due to the tilt in power it creates from the legislative to the executive branch.
