I had a little tiff with one of my friends over the subject line. He sponsored a deaf tibetan who does not speak english, deaf and has no real reason to be here except for welfare. My friend is 65 and won't be here for the long term. He mentioned that he has to help this person find a new job. I told him that he is not going to be here forever for this person and that he must try to do his job search on his own or at least with some State help. What do you think about bringing a person who is disabled, no skills and has other health problems, here for political reasons. I find it difficult that we can't even take care of our own citizens who have the same problems. Why should we do this for foreign national who has these problems, we have our own citizens to think about. Any feed back will be appreciated.

deep philosophical question...but just because you are deaf doesn't mean you can not make an original contribution to society...

i would like a deaf person for a pet...you could say funny shit behind their back and they would be none the wiser...

i will surely have deaf children now...
