Would you all be for or against dropping all the drinking restriction laws and adopting something simular to France's drinking laws.. for instance, i think they have no minimum age, and everyone and anyone can serve drinks.. for instance i ordered a chianti with my big mac at mcdonalds in Paris! and walking home from the clubs i saw a father and son (and the son was no more than 7 years old) drinking a beer in the cafe in Paris.. good lord I hope that was his son!     | ||

I'd be against it. People are already ridiculously irresponsible with alchohol with all of these restrictions. Imagine how things would be with no alchohol restrictions on anyone. That's like pouring oil all over the roads and telling everyone: "Ok guys! No more speed limit!" Chaos. -Warik | ||

Eliminate the drinking age today. It doesn't do anything. My younger bro is 18 and it doesn't stop him. He's got my license. I also have a 22 year old bro and I did the same shit witrh him. I started drinking at 15. Between 17 - 23 I got really good at it. Now I've backed off a little, but believe me the law has NOTHING to do with it. If it doesn't work, it shouldn't be law. You can't legislate behavior. One of the stupidest laws on the books. | ||

I know that a few of our younger members here drink on occasion, and they are under 18.. I was in paris a couple of years ago, and we stumbled across this mcDonalds that was having a birthday party, so there was a Ronald and a Grimace running around with the kids, so we had to take a pic with Ronanld and Grimace with beer and wine, which is why I ordered the chianti. I have to find that pic and post it. | ||

I agree with Johnny O and Matt. Our drinking laws make about as much sense as our drug laws. Countries such as France have a fraction of the alcohol problem that America has. This is because they grow up with it and learn the pros and cons of drinking from grown ups. American kids learn by trial and error which is very dangerous. Most criminologists agree that our drinking and drug laws lead to more crime and deviance, not less- | ||

I got the big mac because that was the only thing I recognized on the menu.. I don't like bic macs, i like double quarter pounders... only later did I realize that the "royal cheese" was the quarter pounders because they are on the metric system! |
