I'm flying out to Baltimore on Friday to visit my son for a few days. So we'll be tooling around the butt-ugly town of Baltimore, and I was wonderin' if any Elite bros are out there. ------------------ | ||

Yes Baltimore is Ugly. Yes all our sports teams suck. But do respect the fact that we have a worldwide reputation as "murder city." I am sorry that your son has to live here. Also, do not go to Hard Rock Cafe. They take too long and the food sucks. If you're bored you can always make a pilgramage to Kevin Levrone's World gym in Millersville. Doubt he's around now, but it is a sweet gym. | ||

Thanks for the tip, Hugh. I don't much like the town, but my son lives in a nice suburban part. Thanks for the tip about the World Gym in Millersville. How far from Baltimore proper? I'll look into making a trip out there. ------------------ | ||

Its about 15 mins south of Glen Burnie. The World gym phone number is 410-987-6500. If you are North of the city, Gold's Timonium is the best around (do not go to Gold's Towson). | ||

Oh Levrone's is the best. Towson Gold's just sucks. If you want Db's to 160 a power rack and multiple squat racks, go to Timonium, the place is huge. It used to have alot of Hardcore lifters, but now it is more the Chest and Biceps college-boy crowd. Actually I'll probably end up lifting there tonight. Of course the legendary B-more gym was the Powerhouse on Pulaski. When they tore the place down they found thousands of used syringes that people had been chucking through a hole in the bathroom wall. | ||

Not only is the city of Baltimore becoming world renowned as a murder mecca, but it can also boast the following: --one of the highest teenage pregnancy rate of any major city in the US (used to be#1) --highest rate of syphillis in the nation and what other city can boast that they have over 50,000 heroin addicts? -not to mention a solid base of liberal-idiots HAVE FUN! How late is that Gold's Gym in Timonium open? I drive past it occasionally and never see anybody in there past 9 or 10 o'clock | ||

Hugh is right. Stay far far away from the Hard Rock. When my old man was on business down there we went down for the week. We met up w/ him that nite and went there for some dinner. The service sux, the food sux, and it was an extremly long and tedious wait. Baltimore does however have some bums w/ funny signs. ------------------ | ||

Do not try to run over the sign wielding bums. Half of them are undercover cops. As for Gold's Timonium, mon-thur open til 10, friday 9, sat 6, sun 5. It's best to train there late, because its not crowded and the people around don't waste your time. | ||

go to baltimore harbor..not the best place in the worl but probably the best in baltimore..also eat at phillips seafood buffet..best $22 u'll ever spend!! | ||

I live in Fells Point, I can walk to the harbor. I used to lift at the Timonium Golds (was a member there for 5 years), and recently switched to Fit Tech, which is the old Powerhouse gym - still owned by the same folks. Shoot me an e-mail, and i'll see what the weekend looks like. | ||
