I have a story for you, I thought you'd find it motivating.

There is a guy who has been training at my gym for a while, longer than me, but when i met him he was about 180 pounds... he had been stuck at that weight for months, he kept busting his balls with intensive workouts, belly busting diets, he tried everything...but nothing worked, he could never break that plateau, he started telling himself that was his body's peak.

then one day he told himself he'd gain an extra pound or he'd die trying, he gave his training everything he had... no no, he gave his training more than he could give... and he gained 1 pound.

my point? ...well it's 6 1/2 months later now and he's 212, and he did it naturally.

you're not done growing man, don't lose hope, you might be on the verge of busting that plateau.

sky is the limit.

Thanks man...I really can use the motivation....I'm literally ready to explode or start crying, I'm not sure which... I keep telling myself that I will be able to bust thru...I am not sure if I believe I can do this...reason being I was AT a platuea...now I'm below that....I hate being fucking natural. It's a pathetic waste of my entire senior year. You wanna hear how dedicated I am to this shit? Here's my life:

Sunday: Wake up at 8:30 to workout at 10.
Run errands and visit with my dad for the rest of the day.
Monday: Go home right after school to workout, get home at 5-6, prepare meals, go to bed at 9. (up at 530)
Tuesday: Rest day. Wish I could work, but if I did I'd have to work until 11, oops...to bad..gotta get up at 530 the next day, won't work...
Wed: Repeat of Mon.
Thursday: Repeat of Tues.
Friday: Go to school, always 1/2 day, come home, workout, go to work.
Sat: Day off from lifting, work from 2-11.

Cycle Repeats.

I spend no time with friends. I don't party. I haven't cheated on my diet in months. I am absolutely broke. I literally only have enough money to buy supplements and put 20 dollars a week away for a car next year.

I don't have a problem with doing these things...IF I WAS MAKING FUCKING PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS MY WHOLE LIFE. AND I DON'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I'VE BEEN SO UNHAPPY. BUT I'LL STOP MY WHINING AND GET TO BED...IT'S LEG DAY TOMMORROW.......................

you aren't the only one frack. ive been TRYING to bodybuild for 3 years now, but thanks to my injury prone body i'm in my 4th month of consistent training. sometimes the anger boils up inside of me to the point i'm almost scared that i'm gonna go do something stupid. i don't give a shit, when i reach my goal i'm gonna be every bit as proud of myself as i should be.

Frackal....You workout twice a day four days a week??...I would say you might be overtraining...although its hard to day cuz I don't know exactly what your doing. I'm 31 years old bro been in the gym the last 10 years....The MOST useful thing I have learned is....LESS IS MORE...

1 hour workouts 4-5 days a week
Hit it hard and get the F*** out of the gym...been doing this for the last 2 years and I have made my BEST gains..no juice (But I will) The only supps I use are Creatine and MRP's to get my 6 meals a day

Frackal, this plateau thing is kind of a waste of your focus. I hit plateaus in training and my weight has gotten at 44 my max weight. However, the strength gains are still going on. I thought I would never get over doing 198 lbs on the D. Press. I weigh
around 120 so doing 198 was not bad. I have now been able to do 208 and 218 so gains are made on the bench and then your gains will show up on the scale for you. That is what you should aim for and the rest will follow.

Keep on lifting you will get there.

Hang in, Frackal, It sounds like you and I are feeling similar. Except I'm already 33 and I woke up and realized that in my years in and out of the gym, I had never gotten serious.
You're already ahead of the game in many ways, and your work ethic will reward you many times over.
Hang in there, and remember that what you're doing, you're doing for you.

In extreme situations take extreme measures...

alright Frack, i went all out for you this time. I asked a pro... now now, not any pro...Olympia quality Pro: Roy Callendar, know him? I do... hehe, he's my co-worker so it's not a big deal for me to get up close and personal with a three time Olympia top 5 finisher!!

okay that's not my point, i asked him about your situation; this plateau... and his face lit up, like a plateau is the greatest thing since the wheel... i guess he used to thrive on this kind of challenges and obstacles... then he asked me about your training, asked me if you were bulking and if you've had any injuries and such... so i told him that 1: yes you've been bulking for over 6 months (i hope that was accurate) and 2:you've been injured...

okay so here is the diagnostic,
1) your body might have become in an overtrained state, he says this because of the loss of weight without any drastic changes in your training or diet and because you have been injured lately.
2) your body has become used to your diet and training... you can try to remedy that situation many different ways...

1st: Do some thinking instead of training. What he means is that you should lay off the weights for a bit, adjust your diet so that you're eating the amount of food your body needs to function normally without having a surplus of calories for storing, or an deficient amount of calories in which your body would eat itself away. Take some real time off the gym, that means no TRAINING, even if you feel like doing legs badly you can't go in the gym... he says up to 2 months, but i'm sure you wouldn't do that even if a pro told you... You should also try to get your mind off training, think of something else.. enjoy your hobbies or some time to rest.

option #2 is less radical and feels it is less likely to work for you. This option is muscle confusion training principle. You've tried this already i believe (by changing around your routine), but he explained there is many more things to muscle confusion than just your routine: like the time of day you train, your workout tempo, adjusting your diet to fulfill your muscles needs better. But concerning the routines there are many things you can change, such as the combinaison of bodyparts you do in the same workout day, the training principles you use for your excercises (supersets, giant sets, pre exaustion sets, negative reps, burns, retro gravity reps, descending sets, forced reps, cheats) and finally the poundage you use... if you're making strengh gains, it's only a matter of time (it might already be happening, even if it's not apparent on the scale) until your muscles grow.

Lastly, he wants to make sure i tell you this: when training for mass: -DO- GO TO FAILURE, UTILISE DUMBELLS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, -DO- ENJOY TRAINING AND -DO- TAKE TIME OFF TRAINING AND ENJOY IT ASWELL.

sorry if it doesn't sound too PRO-ish, looks like what most ppl on the board told you, all these ppl can't be wrong.

also i asked another ex-pro (small time tho, not like Roy) and he says try to increase you apetite, to do so there are many supplements or even foods you can have that will have this effect or you can smoke up... ???WTF??? yeah, i said that too... but he gave out that advice, you make what you want of it.

This is as much help as i can possibly be, come to think of it, i'm a nice guy.

hey i haven't gone to the gym yet,but i'll keep you posted, this week slacked off cause of my friend passing away.

I think what helps is to take all your feelings weathier it be sad or anger or sorrow or guilt and just take it all the gym.I feel depressed and angry now so i'll take that in the gym tonight. Also i believe stresss hinders gains.

be strong and you shall over come.and the rewards will be awsome.

and thanks SILVIO it gave me motivation also to reach my goal of 215-220lbs(off) my March

20-25lbs to go
