OK I WANT YOU GUYS TO TELL ME WHY THIS IS A BAD IDEA AND WHY DO YOU THINK A SOCIETY THAT ASSIGNS YOU JOBS BASED ON YOUR TALENTS WOULD NOT WORK.EVERYONE WILL HAVE WHATEVER THEY WANTED.NO ONE WOULD DRIVE AN ESCORT,UNLESS ONE WOULD WANT ONE.ERASING THE CONCEPT OF MONEY WOULD BE THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN. ------------------ HEAVEN IS THE BACKSEAT OF MY CADILLAC.

Just wondering, who's in charge of the "society" that assigns you a job?? what if you don't want to do the job that "society" assigns you? What if you think you would be better at a different job? Also, how would people be compensated for their labor without money? If you just give them products who decides what mix of products they get. Since everyone assigns a different utility value to any particular mix of products how would this be reconciled? The questions can go on and on, but this is a start. | ||

STEELBEAST, bro i think you are overlooking basic concepts of supply and demand. Everyone can't get everything they want because that assumes unlimited supply. Where does this "hypothetical" endless supply come from. All resources are limited. Also, if everyone could just have whatever they wanted what would be the motivation to produce. Why work if you can just have everything? You are also overlooking the fact that money facilitates exchange. This is why we are not on a barter system. I think you may be missing the point that money is neither bad or good, it is simply a tool that facilitates exchanges between multiple buyers and sellers. | ||

I have been all over the world. Trust me communism and socialism sound good on paper. But take a little vacation. Go to what "was" the USSR. Go try to get a pair of shoes there. Everyone should have shoes, RIGHT? Go to Haiti or Cuba. Eat your plain white rice that is rationed out to you. Go to China. Do you think people protest and get run over by tanks because they are happy with their countrys situation? Trust me, the U.S.A. isn't on top by luck. | ||
