That's wonderful that you are able to so readily judge me. I do not read other's mail, I do not pick pockets, I do not listen in on conversations. I realize that I do not have to explain anything to you, but it will make it easier to understand. I did what I did as a joke. There was no harm done, and I was not checking up on madbomber. There is no reason for me to do so, because I trust him completely. That is something that people develop in relationships, they also develop love and compassion. I am mentioning these because it is so apparent that these are traits that you do not posess. This is not meant to be a vicious personal attack but I feel that if you can so eloquently place yourself at the top of any conversation, then you should be able to take criticism. Maybe this will actually help you. It is a rare thing when someone can access his or her own problems without the help of others. First, let's recap your past relationship. You loved the girl, she had problems, you were hurt in the process, and it left you bitter. Nothing to be ashamed of, it's a fact of life..your "gospel truth". Not everyone is going to have that perfect relationship, but there are some characteristics that a person should develop if he or she is going to have a strong relationship, or be able to start over again, should a break up occur. You seem as if you have given up on women, becaase you have dated a few who hurt you or did not meet your standards. Remember that you can not change a person, you can only help them change if THEY want to. You did a very nice deed by helping your girlfriend through hard times, but it did not last for whatever reason. You probably felt drained, used, and very alone at times, but you stuck it out for her. You are no longer willing to out that much effort into a relationship, and really, who would? But you are also not willing to take a chance at another lasting relationship for fear that the next one might be more disasterous than the last. Now, about lasting relationships...most lasting relationships are strong because of obstacles that have been overcome. It could be something as petty as pretending to be someone else on the net for a laugh, to cheating, to some sort of substance abuse. If the couple is willing to work through it, then there is always a chance. However, if ONE person is not willing, and does not have the patience or desire to go on with it, it is a failure. You might want to work on patience. I realise that some girls play games, and some are users, and some just aren't mature enough for a lasting or meaningful relationship. That does NOT mean that all women are like this. I'm sure that all of the women on this thread have made mistakes in relationships, but we learn from them and move on to become stronger individuals. You just have to find the right one, but you have to have the right attitude to do that. It is obvious that you think highly of yourself, and having self-esteem is always a good quality. Having a God-complex is not as healthy. Whether you realise it or not, you portray yourself as being better than everyone else..on this thread, probably at the gym and at work too. You stated that no woman is good enough for you. If you really feel this way then you shouldn't worry about finding a woman, because no self-respecting lady wouild put up with such an overbearing EGO. You may just be admiring yourself for a while. As far as having meaningless sex, I know that most guys, if not all, would love to have several one-night stands, and would do so if something like honor, morals, or some other factor was getting in the way of it. I'm not going to judge that statement on a moral level, whatever you want to do with your time is your business, but is it something that you will continue for the rest of your life? There is a point at which you will be too old to get the younger women, and then you'll be that one old guy at the club, trying to pick up the teenagers. If you're truly happy with yourself and your life, you would not be so condescending to others here. You would be more optimistic about life in general and you would take each day at a time and be thankful for your health, family and friends. You might even offer words of ENCOURAGEMENT to others who think so highly of you, instead of DISCOURAGING them from whatever topic they post. You also don't have to hide behind your education to get people to respect you. They will respect you for your kindness, encouragement, and love for life in general, not just for your skill at writing. So maybe you should just think about what you really want in life. Try to work on trusting others, seeking positive attitudes, and coming down from that high place where you have put yourself so you can interact with the rest of the world. Let's face it, you can either be remembered in one of two ways: the crotchety old man who's remaining family put him in a home because he was negative, mean and intollerable....or as a loving husband, father, and member of the community who was always there to assist in any way possible, and who other people came to for positive advice. It's your choice, ineveitably. What good is a small fortune, a good job, and nice house, and good health, if you can't share them with a loving family? --djane    | ||

Ok I do not spend my every waking hour reading every single thread. Did I miss something? (not being facetious here) From what I've read (and NO, I'm not kissing butt - not my style) I don't have a singular problem with any of MTSky's posts. I am VERY PRO FEMALE. This does not mean I am ANTI MALE. Maybe I'm just harder on women in general, because I feel that they should always try and elevate themselves to the level at which they should be....strong role models at all times (This doesn't mean that we never make mistakes. We are ALL human. Some learn and grow from their mistakes, some don't....that's what separates the role models from those that NO ONE should emulate.) Men and women both are equally important. One is no better than the other, they just contribute in different ways. How they contribute, I feel, is individual and not necessarily indicative of gender. Having rambled on a bit here, what I am trying to say is DJane - what was it that you found to be so offensive and why should you honestly give a rat's ass what somebody else thinks? You're a 100% entitled to your opinion and I can see by this post that you've got a brain, so why should you care? Not flaming or trying to give you a hard time, just curious.

OK, I read the thread and I still don't get it. It sounds to me like a "goof" back-fired on you and you may have been treated a bit harshly. This is cybersapce and we only know what is posted. We can not possibly "know" an individual. Unfortunately for you, Djane, you were portrayed in a "not so envyable fashion" and people were just commenting on what they read. Brotha Madbomber - I have nothing against you OR your girl. But as those said before me, this is a public forum. Both you and your girl posted some pretty unflattering stuff about EACH OTHER. I'm glad you guys worked it out! It was a silly situation that blew up on you both (I'm speaking from experience here.), let it go and EVERYONE will eventually forget it. Djane, I'm judging your actions, not you. You can tell me it was a harmless little joke if you want, but, your boyfriend called you a "fucking liar bitch". I guess I missed the joke there. Your words are telling me you trust him completely, but your actions and his response all seem to be saying something different. Rarely does one hear the words, "love", "trust" and "fucking liar bitch" together. I have love and compassion in many aspects of my life, toward many people. Just not either of you. Don't take it personally, or try to insult me by telling me I lack these things. I don't. I have near infinite supplies. I find you amusing for attempting to recap my past relationship - 18 months - in a few sentnces. Here's a BRIEF synopsis - Matt meets girl, really likes her. Girl has drug problem - Matt sees that she is beautiful inside as well as out but has had a rough life, and can't handle stress. So,rather than turn his back, he drops everything he is doing (grad school) to be with her. Girl's problem gets worse; she steals from Matt and neglects her son. (Not Matt's child) Matt gets her into rehab at a cost of $7,000 to himself. Matt visits her every day. Matt takes care of kid for her. She completes rehab. Matt pays for her to go back to school. She is drug free now almost a year. The relationship didn't work, but we are still the best of friends. See any compassion there?? I haven't given up on women at all - I've given up on average women. Simple as that. I gave up on average women long before "she" came along. No time for women of average intellect, or average desire in life, or who settle for being mediocre. My dream is not a nice house with a picket fence, and 2.7 kids. That is Ok for most people, and I am not knocking it - but that is not what I dream of. I have been given the ability to do more, so I want more. Why share my dreams with someone other than a kindred spirit? I know very well that obstacles have to be overcome. Why begin with even more? I NEVER stated that no woman was good enough for me. You made that up. Why? So you could further your artifical point with artificial claims? Yes, I think highly of myself. Very highly. God-complex? No. Self-confidence that few people have? Yes. But since it is rare, people have to label it and criticize it as some sort of complex. People have to call these PURE POSITIVES something negative because they lack them. I don't think I'm God...I am simply very successful at the things that matter to me. Why? I work hard. What you see as condescending I see another way. I give candid advice. People come on here and they ask for advice. I tell them what I would do. If, for example, (not a reference to you) a girl cheated on me, I would say goodbye. I wouldn't be all nice about it - I;d say, "You betrayed the trust - goodbye". No sappy encouraging or any of that. I get about 25 emails a day asking for training and supplementation advice, and I answer damn near every one. I have encouraged more people on this board....so stop - just stop - with your "if you were truly happy" tripe...because you are just entirely wrong. I am me: confident, honest/candid, and capable. I'm 25, but trust me I have experienced things in those years that many never see.....I don't really have time for those of another ilk. i don't have time to sugar coat my responses. I don't have time to hold hands when people ask for advice. Don't try to tear me down to get up here, raise yuorself up instead. Matt | ||
