Hi Guy's, I haven't been posting here too much lately as I thought the board was going down hill a little, i see thing have calmed down some!!. Anyway to some of the military member's who I've been in touch with this year via the board. I've just been told I'm going to Lebanon with the U.N. (unifil) next month. I'm in the Irish army and we have a large commitement to the U.N. My period of engagement will be 6 months. Anyway this is my first trip away from my children (boy and girl, 8+5 respectfully) and it's killing me. It's not something that I've spoken about to my commrades, a macho thing etc.. Anyway have the military members been through the same thing in the past. This is not my first U.N. trip, but my first away from the kids. Any advice from our military members would be much appricated. I'm hoping that there will be an internet connection over there to keep in touch with my family and you guys of course. I'm flying out from Ireland on either the 30th of Oct. or the 6/7 Nov. Cheerio. Bouncer     | ||

Hey bro, Been there done that. Been away from kids family, etc. Right now I am away from my two boys and it really is no fun. Hang in there and write them often, even if you don't get mail from them. And make sure you write your wife often too! chesty |
