Black Americans no have African heritage. Ours was stolen so we must start a new. Sure our ancestors came from the continent of Africa but none of us have a clue as to who came from what country? I should be proud of what? Muthafuckas who sold out my ancestors out so they could become slaves? Or maybe their descendents in the 'motherland' who think they're better than us descendents of slaves, black Amercians. I feel strongly about what I first said. You ain't black, and it's a cliche but you don't understand.

I guess it all boils down to this: People who aren't black (with the exception of a few other races), don't understand the internal struggle a Black man goes through day to day. It's the subtile things people do to you wherever you go in society. It's the certain look people give you when they come in your office and find out "a black person is in charge so I won't treat him with the same amount of respect I would a white person". It's the way a person who is giving you money in a retail store environment places the money on the counter for you to pick up instead of placing the money in your hand, because you are black. It's the way you get followed around a department store by security, because you are black. It's the way you don't get invited to certain co-workers parties, because you are black. It's the look you get when you walk into "The Gap", because you are black. It's the way your college professor talks down to you like you can't understand intelligent conversation, because you are black. It's the way a landlord does a credit check on you when you are looking to rent a condo, but didn't do one on the previous white couple who lived there, because you are black. I can go on and on about this but I will stop right here. Only a black person can undeerstand this.
