the other night one of the guys that I sell smiles to was beat up by some kids that said they where straight edgers. He was smoking a joint out side of a club and they just kicked his ass. He said that he was jumped by 7 guys screaming shit like fucking dope head amoung some other things. I havent ever seen any of these people, but I went to a website to see what they are all about. They dont use drugs or drink. They really dont like steroid users, cause i asked it that was ok in there cult. Moe, Ive grew up around straight edge, and it sounds like these guys are posers.. The bros I know are some courageous fuckers..but they dont go starting shit for nothing. Actually I know a couple who do use gear but wont touch a rec. drug or beer for anything. Ive had no probs with these guys...but I know of alot of incidences where some "groups" have gone to extremes about thier quest, or cause. later, IP: Logged |

I haven't been on the board all that much lately, are you still in Florida? I have a hard time believing a group like that would be able to find any members here with all the gear doing, pot smoking, coke sniffing and x rollers we have here. I suppose it could just be the lifestyle my peer group is involved with and there could be some straight edge people far away from Ybor. IP: Logged |

Yeah i am still in florida and my friend lives up in jacksonville. I agree this isnt the actions of the whole group as with anything you will have extremist to the right and the left of both sides. i have seen a documentary on them or somthing on TV before. They are white teens i believe, and they believe in no drugs or alchol i think?!?! say they beat up people that use them, or said one lady got beat up cuz she was pregnant and smoking and drinking??! or somthing like that. oh well kram-mark IP: Logged |

There used to be a few around my area. They all had big black x's with marker on their hands and some got tatts. I think most of them are lame and it pisses me off to hear about them jumping someone for smoking a joint. IP: Logged |

shit this isnt my government. I hate everything that washington dc stands for. The way they deal with problems is by locking people up. Locking someone up for a crime that doesnt effect anyone is as criminal as murder or rape. i'm straight edge. all that means is that i don't drink, smoke or do drugs. it's a lifestyle - not a club, cult or organization. please don't draw any conclusions just because there are a few guys who think they are tough. believe it or not, only a very small amount of striaght edge kids are violent. unfortunately, these are the ones you hear about on tv and they're giving straight edge a bad name/image. I've run into some straight edgers before. I am punk and these kids go to some of the same shows I do. They are walking contradictions and are pretty much skinny pussies. I have never been in any brawls with them because they will never start shit with some one big. they are scum sucking piss ant pencil necks in my opinion. The only difference in them vs. nazi's is they hate people who don't have their same ideal's. If you see a couple of them fuck them up. IP: Logged |

what the hells wrong with NOT using drugs,drinking or smoking? It's a lifestyle choice. I don't do any of the above and have never even heard the term "straight edge" before. The problem with the straigh edgers is they are so proud for doing something they are supposse to do anyway. Why do people always want credit for shit they are supposse to do.
