Ok... I'm taking of my mod gloves and goingon a bit of a rant. WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING!!!! Denis Miller. This guy makes me puke with his holier than thou BS he calls comedy. But hey, that's just me. Now I got to watch him on football??!?!? This guy has ZERO respect for the game. Has never even played sports in his life and now he is on the MNF?!?! Now I get to listen to some liberal yuppie make crack pot jokes??!?!? I do admit they needed some changes, but good grief, at least get someone with some back ground in the game. I can hear it now... "there a fine catch by the, hum, wide tackle... er no, wide receiver...." Are we going to be subjected to his "humor"? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would have liked to see lawrence taylor ge tthe position my self -but as for dennis milelr -its ridiculous --what does he know about football--its not the broadcasters faults there losing ratings its because monday nitro and wwf raw-whats dennis miller gonna bring to the table? a strap on and bend al michaels right over the booth thats about it --pssh what the hells goin on with these people? Its a tuff job! It will not be easy for anyone. If your going to add color that is one thing but this is football. It doesn't needed added color. You need someone who know the game and can call it right. We have had so many lame asses for so long. I turn the volume off. Just don't needed. Right now my money would be with Steve Young. Thermo----L.T. can barely speak english, and he will probably be on crack during the shows. I do agree that Dennis Miller is a bad, bad, pick, all he is going to do is make wise cracks. i don't think the dennis miller experiment will last more than a year. an idiotic pick. the hardcore fans will not like his too-frequent attempts at humor and if he actually TRIES some real football "analysis"...forget. can't be much worse than mr. Sorry guys, I like Dennis Millers comedy, even though I am not a lib. I think he is crafty. I am taking a wait and see approach. He will do his home work, I you can stand one of he HBO shows, you will know the guy does his home work. I think this is just to get an new kind of person to watch football. He will screw up I am sure of that, it will be interesting to see how the other guys handle it and how he does. If he make fun of the game after screwing up, because he is embarrassed he will be off the program quick, because we will all quit watching, because somebody is making fun of the great game. Soccer on primetime tv? HA. The ratings for the world cup don't come close (I mean by a loooong shot)to what MNF brings in. MNF needs to get better match ups for their games. Who wants to see the saints and the browns? We want the big teams. Look for the Dallas and Washington rivalry to be good this year. Dallas has Galloway and Wsh has Deion. And of course Dallas has the best linebacker in the league, Dexter Coakley. I ain't a Cowboys fan but am a Coakley and Galloway fan. ------------------ IP: Logged |
