I bought 100 shares of RMBS on monday at $95 per share. Cost $9508.00 I could sell right now for $12600(minus $8 commision). This is for the people not investing. moe....do you need an initial investment on ameritrade or do you pay per transaction. ie..do you need the standard $5000 , or is it 8 prunes everytime you buy or sell? ive been playing on paper for a while and doing pretty well. time for the real thing. IP: Logged |

It is $8 for market orders and $12 for limit and stop orders. You need $2000 to open an account, but they run special offers all the time and you only need $500. You dont have to maintain a balance of that either just open it with that much. That RMBS is up to $138 now i just made $1000 in 10 minutes. check out www.fool.com they have message boards like this and a lot of intersting articles on investing. Their articles aren't geared toward day trading, but the boards have some good info. IP: Logged |
