i dont get it... why/how was the apartment clean and empty of all bodies? what was the lawyer talking about with having dinner with paul allen, the co worker bateman killed??? fuck, people were confused by fight club and that was plain as day... this one confuses me....     | ||

I'm not too sure because its been awhile since ive seen it, but most of the crazy shit the guy did was all in his mind. Every time he killed somebody he was just imagining it, and at the end he realizes this. Thats why its called American Psycho, his mind is fucked up and he imagined all of his kills. | ||

yeah, it it isn't clear if they are real or not. if you read the book it makes it more clear. you can't really watch it as a normal story though, it is a satire/black comedy - it is making fun of the materialistic and selfish society of the mid to late eighties and how they were all so self absorbed that even if the killings were real, people wouldn't notice it b/c they were far too concerned with their own image. ------------------ | ||

eh, i usually love dark comedies... this one just left me saying "huh"? i did chuckle a few times, good nobody was around to think i am stranger then they already do. |
