Remember I we were buying groceries for the 4 nephews and one girlfriend because they were hungry?

Well NOW they can't keep their apartment. Our "son" (the youngest nephew) and two more nephews are moving in with us.

The oldest nephew and his girlfriend are going to live with Gabby's brother.

If only, when I was their age, someone in MY family showed me the love I'm showing these boys.

Do you honestly think you won't be rewarded for it later? karma always repays, be it good or bad.

Just think the joy of teaching them about thumb rings and ID lube. Although at this point, learning the back pocket hanky code may be too complex.

Johnny -

I have to echo Gilly's sentiments. How is it that 5 people are so needy at the same time?

There's a difference between "being there" for them when they need it and being a chump. I don't remember, but did you explain why these assumedly healthy young people can't make it on their own.

It's one thing if they're going to school and can only work part-time or some other worthy reason. But, how long are you going to let this go on.

I hope that they've got some direction in life and have set goals for themselves. If not, give them a time limit and stick to it.

Also, you might teach them a good lesson by making them pay you rent, help out with the groceries, etc. Maybe you can just keep the money and not tell them about it and then give it to them when they're ready to move on.
