59 in a 35, that's pretty impressive. I once got pulled for going 60 in a school zone. Luckily the sign was'nt that visible, so th ecop let me off with a $60 driving too fast for conditions ticket.

Damn 24 over the speed limit, impressive indeed. My dad got pulled over for doin 75 in a 35. Thing was he didn't do it, for real, what happened was a car that was the same color flew by at probably that speed and the cop pulled my dad over instead. How much is the ticket for? My pop's was up there but we got friends who go friends so it went away.

No he just gave me a speeding ticket.

Back in 91 when I bought my first 3000gt I was driking and my best friend had a 12pack between his legs and his wife was in the back seat. We were topping the car out and I passed a cop. I knew I was busted so I just pulled over on the shoulder. The cop pulled up about 30 seconds later. Gave him my DL's and ins card he ask me to step out of the car and ask me my height and weight. I said 6ft 5in and 295 I then corrected myself and said 5ft 11in and 255, guess I was dreaming for a split second. He ask me how fast i was goinging. I said around 100 and he said your no how fast what I really going I said about 130. He then said wherer are you goinging. I said home. I was on 635 aobut 2 miles from my house and it was a mesquite cop. He said get in my car and he better not see me out again tonight. No ticket no nothing. I was so happy.

Up here in Toronto, there's this highway called the 407 that's fairly new (2years) but it costs money to drive on it. So being the cheap asses that most TO drivers are, they clog up the main highways and leave this one empty...well, one of the clients my brother works with has a Porshe 911 GT3 or something like that...really rare...but one hell of a ride. They surprised me one day after work and picked me up to go home so he took that road. With the 407, there's probably no longer stretch of straight road so empty in TO. Within seconds, this dudes car was hitting 260km. We were caught..by a cop at like 2am. He wasn't happy at first but the guy BS his way through it. The cop was so impressed by the car he even raced him...me and my brother were like WTF? That was some funny sheet that night.

Chops do strange things when nobody is around. I had a 23 T bucket with a 327 vette and 411 gears. It was a rocket and scarry to drive. A cop in on of the old 5.0 mustanges pulled up beside me at a light in mesquite at about 2am in the mornin and rolled his window down and ask me how fast the car was. I said a low 10 in the 1/4. He said well lets run them to the next light when they turn green. I said Really? he said don't worrie about it. He turned his lights on after I blew his doors off and I pulled over in the 7-11 parking lot and he said don't worry he just wanted to look.

I read this tip on avoiding points on your liscense somewhere, actually may have been on this board:

overpay the fine by a couple bucks. You will get a notice from the police billing dept, but just disregard it. Do not cash any check they send you for the difference. They will not bother following up...their computer system is rigged not to give you points though until all financial transactions are complete. You will not get points and your insurance will not go up. Pretty cool!
