he either dreamed most or all of it. the character of patrick bateman appears to be based on someone with schizophrenia. he has about 10 of the symptoms. | ||

He was fantasizing the whole time. At the end when his secretary found his notebook with all of the drawings and writings, you realize that he was just fantasizing about the killing. I did like the business card scene. Mine is better, no, mine is better, ... | ||

I have seen that movie 5 times and I had no idea that he was dreaming. I thought he really did the killings and that he liked to draw pictures of it. I think I will watch it again. ------------------ | ||

I still don't understand who Paul Allen was. I thought it was Jared Leto, but he called him Marcus. Then when he went to the hotel right after he killed the old lady the guy called him Mr. Smith. I was lost. The best part was when the ATM said "Feed me a stray cat." | ||

I thought that movie totally sucked. I could only get through about half of it. Some people told me it was awesome and some said it sucked. I'll have to watch it again when it comes on cable. | ||

I had never been so tempted to walk out of a theatre during a movie. I stayed and kept thinking it would get better. What a waste of time. I thought it sucked! | ||

it is based on the superfisalness(sp)if that is a word.of the late 1980's. the guys never really knew or cared to know each other they would have dinner or talk with each other and not know who the other one really was. during this period ,peoples only care was how they looked as in beauty and if they appeared successfull and uppercrust. But the irony was that know one cared or knew anyone else because the were wrapped up in themselves.hence they all called each other the wrong names and when talking about someone they got everthing wrong because the events of 3 people that might look the same would be interwooven into one person. No one was who the were. Now Bateman was a psychotic killer he did everthing that you saw in the movie and alot more. In the book it is easier to follow and the theme is different.but as sometimes the case it was lost in the movie. |
