I was, now I answer the fucking phone at a mutual fund company. I have done it all from hardwood floors to heavy equipment operator. I am about to get back into it, no kissing ass when I am running a 50,000 pound dirt moving, yellow machine.

I helped build Jurassic Park and I spared no expense.

Well, indirectly...

I'm a writer for one of the world's largest environmental and industrial equipment manufacturers. I write ads, videos, technical information, manual, brochures, Web content, etc. for a number of product lines.

Equipment I am familiar with includes:
Horizontal Directional Drills
Pneumatic Piercing Tools
Vacuum/Excavation Systems
Lawn Plows
Vibratory Plows
Concrete Cutters
Trenchers
Rock Trenchers
Rockwheel Trenchers
Trench Compactors
Satellite Fleet-Management Systems
Ground-Penetrating Radar Units
Bore Planning and Mapping Software
Brush Chippers
Stump Cutters
Tub Grinders
Tree Spades
Earth Block Equipment

I've also worked with other industrial accounts that included:
Cranes
Skid Steers
Tires
Field-Service Vehicles
Mobile Lubrication Vehicles
Platform Lifts

There's probably other stuff, but this is what comes to mind...

------------------

He was an odd fellow -- kept to himself mostly. He had served his time and nobody noticed him much anymore. On the outside, he looked average -- albeit a bit unkempt. Inside was a different story. Inside, he was a whirling chaos of blackness, deception, confusion and revenge. The world's time was coming. And he had vowed long ago that he would see it through, though it would mark the death of him.

My brother was VP of Project Management for a construction restoration company for 10 years....just quit last year to get his MBA.

Started out on the crew, got into the office, became Supervisor then VP at age 22.

Now he wants to be a CFO.

Sure do. Done most of your list: Estimators, Superintendents, Project Managers but now mostly client relations and contract/subcontract negotitations.

Have been in concrete construction, and residential custom home building for 15 years, have done GC, superintendent, project manager, they were o.k. but I am more hands on oriented, but since I am getting older I am looking to get into a safety engineer position, I am on the east coast if that helps Freak Monster.

I was a union sheet metal worker for 3 years. Talk about hard work and little pay. I'm very glad I got out of it myself...
