The instrument techs at my company seem to do pretty well. Don't know exactly how well. I think it's a good trade. You can do it forever, as in, it won't break your back. Electronics will never go away.

My dad is in electronics. He used to work at the Philly Navy Yard before it closed [fuckin Cheney]. Hes now at the airport doing shit in the tower. He seems to enjoy it and has been at it for about 20 something years. If you're interested in it, go for it. Don't let anyone push you into what to do, my family wanted me to get into cars; I want to get into law. They kept forcing the issue but stopped when I stuck to my grounds.

im not sure how the computer end is, but elect is a good field to get into. always a need for it. its all what you learn how to do. you can work on anything from medical equipment(me) to planes (used to) to home wiring to computer building etc. pcb building, design and repair. it all depends on your level of schooling, certifications, and how well you do up your resume .

i had military experience only, no "tech schools" besides what the military sent me to for 9 months. i am at the level of a 4 year degree, for repair and troubleshooting, and will soon be paid at that equivalent.

there are tons of options out there, if computers are your bag go for it! im thinking of getting some web/graphics design experience and see how that opens up.

I was thinking of like designing software, that type of thing. Designing computer programs, whatever its called yaknow. I already have a good handle on the stuff. I take all business electives such as computer applications, keyboarding, document formatting, I know how to do a lot of things with the word processing software. Next year I am taking HTML. So how much does a comp programmer make or whatever? Anyone know.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS REX AND EVERYONE ELSE!!!

Do the computer thing if you have an intrest in it and have a knack for it. You can make bank. "It's the wave of the future my man!"
