Have a show this weekend and my main one in 3 weeks. I cut out my pasta this week and replaced it with oatmeal. I am 5'6" 160 lbs and have a lean body mass at 155. I want to lose more fat and come in extremely hard for my last show. I am having a hard time with the lower abs, I want them to come in but am getting scared that I will lose too much muscle to get them in. I think I have already lost a couple of lbs.
Drugs are 200mg V, 300 eq, 65mcg cytomel, 1 nolvadex. Diet is 3/4 cup oatmeal with mealreplacement for breakfast only after 45 min of cardio. 1/4 cup oatmeal and 6 oz pasta for next three meals, and 50g protein last meal with protein powder. I do not eat past 6:30pm. What should be done to come in hard without loseing this muscle. ps what about glycerol for veins.

I'm not sure if I've got the diet thing understood. Are you eating mostly carbs (pasta and oatmeal) for your first 4 meals?

And at 160 lbs/155 LBM you're already at less than 1%BF, so something is wrong somewhere in your measurements.

Can you clarify your diet (in terms of %fat/protein/cabs) and how you calculate your LBM?

My dietician did the carb/protein ratios. I am eating oatmeal in place of the pasta this week. -Oh shit, I see what you are talking about, the 6 oz was supposed to be chicken. I am getting aroung 3oo g of protein and the carbs I'm not sure about do to all the ounce ratios I have had to use. But it works out to be, with the oatmeal ,around 100 carb calories per 1/4 cup oatmeal.Sorr
My bf% started out at 14.4% at 188lbs. At last measurement,2 weeks ago, I weighed 162 lbs at 4.2%. i hope this helps. I will try to get the specifics on the ratios for you. But I would greatly appreciate your help due to your large knowledge base.

The bodyfat % was done useing mm calipers on the chest, ab, and thigh. We, my dietician friend and I, figured that they were becoming inaccurate towards the end so the mirror and scales are now being used to see how we look. Thanks

At this stage I'm reluctant to interfere. I'm still not clear on what the dietician is having you do or why. But it's really too late to do much for this weekends comp. Normally the week before a competition I would have a client carb-deplete and hydrate followed by carb-loading and dehydration. But that really needs to be started the Sunday befor the competition. This frequently brings the abs out really nicely. I would also have a client do a 'practice run' a few weeks before the first competition to judge how they respond to the carb and water manipulation. This is essentially the same as an anabolic diet for the week. And if your lower abs still aren't showing well by now, you need to be cutting back your carbs throughout the rest of your diet (until your next show). Has your dietician given you a pre-competition game plan?

Both my dietician and I, especially me, are worried about missing the mark with carb depletion. I could try that for my last show; however, I probably will not. I will cut my carbs ,but should I increase my protein to compensate for those calories. What are your feelings for back stage pumping stuff (glycerol, wine, etc.) What do you recommend?
