I have been taking ECA for quite some time and have certainly developed some kind of dependency on it. I have been taking either pure ECA (Minithin-asprin-nodoze) or ripped fuel extreme. I have been taking some form of it for years with some stretches as long as 3 months without taking a day off.

I have been off for a week now and am still tired and lethargic as hell. How long does it take for natrual adrenalin and thyroid levels to come back? Is there possible long term side effects? How long should I stay off?

Why did you stay on ECA for so long?I havent read of any long term side effects but undoubtedly your body has become somewhat dependent on it.I would go at least a month or more without it.Im not sure what you mean by your thyroid levels comming back have you been on a diet for a while?

thyroid levels. hmm. you constantly hear this shit about extended periods on ketogenic diets being bad for your metabolism because you're training your body to be in "starvation mode". but hey, what do i know, i'm just a chick. and a chick that's craving real bad right now.

but about the ECA, i figure it'll take a couple of weeks for your body to get back on track with the usual metabolic rate and stuff. although, i wouldn't be surprised if bf% goes up too in the process.

Yes, I am trying to limit fat and sugar intake to nearly nothing while I'm coming off of it. As far as thyroid I had heard that extended ECA use could suppress thyroid production. In fact, during a fairly recent test I had low Thyroid Stimulating Hormone And fairly low T3 and T4 levels. If you know how these hormones work you will know that those figures don't jive. So something is screwing with them.

I know that adrenalin and ephedrine are closely related chemically, so I would asume adrenalin levels would drop off with continued use. However I am not sure about that.

Stay off of the ECA for a few weeks, but in the meantime you can try using tyrosine to replenish your norepinephrine levels. When using ECA, your body is releasing norepi at a greater rate, and I would imagine that prolonged use will begin to deplete this compound in the nerve terminals. Try 1,000-2,000mg spread over the day.

As for the low thyroid levels, I have seen little evidence that ECA is harmful to thyroidal function, it is most likely low due to dieting.

Yes, that makes sense. I have done several CKD's over the course of a year. I just can't believe how damn tired I've been since I've been off. I'll try the tyrosine as well.

Jafar-
I can relate to the ECA-withdrawal! I had taken it for years off and on, so i've had similar concerns. I was depressed for like a week when I quit taking it! I was tired as hell too, I should have tapered it off instead of quitting cold turkey...
