I've been wondering about this, it seems that as women approach their late 20's/early 30's they become more like men in bed ie more fucking (not "making love"....please spare me the semantics, I've been married since Jesus Christ walked the earth so let's not go there), no desire to cuddle, just let me get off and get OFF OF ME. hehe Why do you ladies think this is? Is it because we are no longer in "procreation mode" and we give so much of ourselves to those around us that we just want more for ourselves? ------------------     | ||

No disrespect taken...and yes, it is me in the pic. But getting back to the topic at hand. What I meant was...men can generally separate a sex act from an emotional act more easily than women (not EVERYONE, just in general). I am quite surprized that women who had never wanted to or were never able to do this in the past seem to be able to do it with ease as they approach the age range previously stated. I was just wondering if this was due to physiological changes (as Wodin suggested) or environmental changes (the question of procreation no longer being an issue) or emotional changes (feeling that we have given, given, given so much that we now want to take more for ourselves). Any ladies?......guys you can reply also, I'm curious about what your take on this is. If you've been in a long-term committed relationship with a woman through her 20's on up, have you noticed this change? ------------------ | ||

I think as women get older we become more independent and realize we do not need a man in order to have happiness and it comes from within us. We become more self-confident and sure of ourselves and less dependent upon our men. We live and learn and some experiences make us hard and changes our attitudes and emotions. When you are young its all about story book romance and your knight in shining armor.. we thrive upon that and fall into that sort of love so to speak. I also think we become more aware of our own sexuality and what pleases US and what satisfies our bodies I think we evolve and change as we get older, different wants and needs. Good question??? Makes ya think | ||

UMMMMM, so what we are saying here is that women in their late 20's and early 30's are more likely to have a "fling" you know "no strings attached sex" ??? that at this stage women can have sex with someone they do not love or have any type of feelings for??? Ummm very interesting.

Ive been like that since I was 17 and lost my virginity ironic part is, all the guys Ive dated have cOMPLAINED about this WTF??? In fact, yesterday, the BF was whining I dont kiss him enough.....kiss, shmish...I work, bring home the bacon, put out often, do domestic shit I cant stand (like washing dishes and laundry)and he whines about kissing. My wife and I have been together for 17 years, she was 16 and I 18 when we met, been married 10 now. You are right when you say things tend to cool off a bit for the women, I think, after a while, although she was one to want to "cuddle", it seems those aspects were always there, but they just weren't for me I guess. She has made noises because of MY sexual needs, to often. But I say it's environmental, not for just the woman, but the man as well. We works full time, we have 2 kids etc. etc. We had something really amazing happen a few weeks back, it was like falling in love again for the first time (maybe the clomid, hehe)but it has been wonderful since. I am helping more around the house, she seems to have cranked her sexual needs up quite a bit. There just seems to be more respect now than a few weeks before. And the sex, WOW, is better than ever. Finally, the PASSION is back, this I seem to need. Did I go off track here.....hehehe. | ||

I'm 22 and my GF is 24 and I get pissed off at here because she gets off and leaves me hanging. After she gets off, she totally looses interest in me. I guess I'm the same way, but when I go off, the reason I don't keep on is because I'm not physically capable. She is... This wouldn't be the problem if she didn't get off in 3 MINUTES!!!!! I hate to say that I complain about that, most guys would love to have a girl that did that. | ||

well i am in my mid 20's okay 25 to be exact and i have always been able to seperate the two. I don't know why. making love is one thing and sex is another. I read this post several times....I guess I had to add a little something or another.... For me, getting older made me truly appreciate the smaller things that made up a woman, the faint taste of wine on her lips as you kiss,and you can still taste it the next day, the way she closes her eyes into passionate slits just before, how she will tilt her head up and look you in the eye as you slow dance, the nape of her neck, with a scent of perfume that lingers well into the night, all these things are so wonderous now, the way a woman will scrunch up her nose as she ponders a question you have asked.... When I was younger, it was all about sex, get it done quickly and gloat about it...if only I knew.....true passion is everything that leads up to the physical side of a man and a woman, with out it...yup, it's just a fuck per sey!!! I am still in awe at the way a woman can express herself with her hands and be sexy about it, how she looks in one of my shirts, getting up early and not afraid to kiss right off the bat, the small divot under her nose that leads to her lips...all of these things make up a woman..... And you ask BM if it gets like this with age....I enjoy every second I am with someone, sex, great if it happens....but I have had some great woman whom I think ever so fondly of, and nothing physical happened, that mystique alone shall set them apart, unequal, forever in my mind.... This is a good one for me. I am 28 and my husband and i have been together for 7 yrs. I posted earlier in the womens disc. under "My Hsband Broke His Neck." He broke his neck and has had some sexual probs. Not a real concern anymore as far as getting off. Back to the subject at hand, I used to love to be cuddled after sex (and still do) but in the last few months I have no problem with hopping the fuck off (after he is taken care of that is). But when I did it you should have seen the look on his face. It looked like a little kid being told there was not Santa Clause. A look of disbelief. The funny thing was, I didn't care, I didn't feel bad. Hell he has done it why not me. The only way I can explain this is maybe because a man's sexual peek is from around 17-22 yrs. and a women's peek really starts at 28 or 29-33 yrs.old. When a guy is really at his peek at that age what the fuck do they know (really) what a woman wants (cuddling and so forth) they are horn dogs that have to get their rocks off as quick and as often as possible. Now I know that there are guys out there and possibly on this board that DO take care of their women (at that age) and this does not apply to them I am speaking of the majority. I don't know if this is a logical point but it was all I could think of and I think I'm gonna just hop right the fuck off again tonight, I'm tired. KG | ||

It all depends on how I feel that day! Somedays I want alot of hugging and kissing and touching! And others I want to go wild and have SEX!! But, things have change since I was younger. I use to be kind of shy in bed. I didn't want the guy to think I was to wild. ( I thought he might think I was a BAD GIRL); goes back with how I was raised! And I didn't know what I wanted or how to feel good. But, now I know what I want and I know how to feel good. And it seems like when you are more self confident; you really turn the guy on!! And that's a great feeling. I love getting older!! | ||

Ranger how old are you? If I may ask? Very sensual man indeed! I think our sexual appetites do change as we age. My husband and I have switched our roles as we have aged it seems. He tends to want the tender loving and I want the wild sex he wanted when we first met. Communication on our needs has made sex great throughout these changes. Him being MORE emotional and me less. We both feel comfortable with the changes as well. Now when he wants to cuddle in bed I know that he really does not want to HOG the damn bed, he wants to be reassured I still love him. I just have to think back when we first married and what I thought "love making" meant.

Sling, You are right, and as I said in my earlier post..." When I was younger..." I do wish I had some of those nights to re-live, the subtle thickness of the humidity on the early summer's eve, the smell of the Savannah River as you walked the cobblestone streets of River Street, the Spanish Moss swaying gently in the breeze....all this was GRAND!!! And yes my friend, we did have our share of good times, some of the best in fact!!!
