Yet another glutes question

Is there any way for a woman to train the gluteswithout hardening them too much? My husband likes by rear as it is –softy, nice and round. I want to get it a bit bigger, but don't wantto get it too hard.

There is no sure fire way to advise you how to do or not to do a gluten workout to avoid what you're asking. Keep training and decided how much weight/reps/days you want to continue doing depending on what you see. Diet is also very important. If you are training well but your diet is not good then you may not see any results no matter how much you train.

The difference between soft and hard will be the amount of body fat you have. You can certainly do squats to build up the muscle but just eat maintenance or slightly above calories so you aren't burning fat. That will provide some bum growth without making it hard.

It is extremely hard to give you a guaranteed advice, because everyone is different, and every one has different genetics. However, the method suggested by @masonic sounds very legit, and I think it should work for you. In fact, I think that it is the optimal way for you to follow.

Women do not have the endocrine system to build big bulky muscles. Unless you start using steriods - you have nothing to worry about.

All weight training will do as a female will tighten and tone your physique. You won't develop a hard bumb but rather a firm and perky butt.

Cutesy exercises like glute kick backs, walking lunges etc have their place but nothing will ever replace the squat when it comes to overall leg development and size.

Master the squat and I PROMISE you will get the glute and leg development you are looking for.

Not a smith machine squat, not a hack squat, not a front squat, a real squat where the bar is resting on your traps.
