Using Winny?

Why the touch-up?

Jilleysu,
Did you have a stricture? If so, the following may not apply. You may wish to ask the surgeon if he will give you a script for Anavar to aid in post surgery healing!! Explain to him that you are familiar with it's pro-wound healing properties, and that you would like him to script 5mg 2x/day. If he looks at you sideways tell him that this is acceptable therapy for a person that relies on their physique for a living and refer him to the following Medscape.com article: The Influence of the Anabolic Agent, Oxandrolone, Upon the Expression of Procollagen Types I and III mRNA in Human Fibroblasts Cultured on Collagen or Plastic pub. by, G.C. Saggers, BS;1 G.M. Allison, BS;1 H. Levinson, MD; T. Kramer, MD;2, D.R. Mackay, MD;1 H.P. Ehrlich, PhD1, From the 1Wound Healing Laboratory, Division of Plastic Surgery, Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania; and 2Bio-Technology General Corp., Iselin, New Jersey

The upshot of this cutting edge article/study is that anavar DOES exhibit pro-healing collagen deposition. In the past this was considered anectdotal and was blown off by the average <non-wound specialist> surgeon. There is some neat research there that shows that the collagen surrounding the plastic will not experience an increase like the other wounded area!!!

<Sorry if this isn't neat stuff to you, for a research nerd it's pretty cool. Your doc will be impressed with your research. Hold your ground and demand the anavar, he'll geek, eventually. Tell him you have friends overseas that have had this treatment without problem.

But, if he won't go along, I would not recommend using the anivar on your own until you are 100% healed. That will probably be 3-6 MONTHS!! I know it will be tough, but you will survive!! You will probably need to be monitored for stricture formation...

Also, don't live on just salads after surgery!! Add in lean chicken, beef, salmon and occasional tuna. You need the good fats, protein, and some high vit c, low glycemic fruits. These include strawberrys, kiwi, blueberrys, tomatoe, and grapefruit. Vitamin C has been shown to enhance the deposition of collagen in cultured fibroblasts.

Post- Surgery

Hey Everyone,
Surgery went well. Didn't get on to read replies until just now, so only got the vicodin for meds. It is really bloating me out, so trying to keep off it. Feel like a fat pig right now. I know I am still swollen and the meds are causing this, but hate. Hate the soarness more, but each day gets easier. I had no complications and the only side effect is that I am soooo tired.
For two days, I could only have a small snack with my meds. I had granola or crackers. Today is the first day I had breakfast and lunch. Doing ok, but feel sooooo depressed not going to the gym. Absolutely hate that part. I guess I shouldn't push though. I have alot more stitches this time. Thanks for all the advice. Things going well.:D
