Questions about thermos

From all the information that I have read, my understanding is that an ECA supplement increases caloric expenditure thus raising one's metabolism. Is that correct?

My main question is - by what percentage or how much does an ECA supplement increase daily caloric expenditure? Let's say your daily maintenance calories are 1800, would taking an ECA increase that value?

And once you stop taking an ECA supp, would you need to lower your maintenance calories?

thanks

Based on a quick look at a couple of abstracts, the increase in metabolism is about 4-8%.

Yes, your metabolism would revert back to normal once you're off the ECA.

That means about an addition loss of fat of 2 kg over an 8 week period on a caloric restrictive diet with ECA.

All drug effects last only as long as you're on the drug.

thanks W6, that's exactly the information I was looking for :)

spatterson, I am not in a time crunch and this is not a last resort :) I was just asking this question from an educational point of view. I was just looking for more concrete and specific information on ECA.

thanks guys :)
