how to control cravings?

My weight loss goals are always flying in my face because I am having to break back cravings. looking for some tricks to help a chick like me lose some weight. I used to be a think cheerleader in school, after a kid and divorce I now am carrying too much weight. how do i avoid the evening trips to the freezer for ice cream?
 
time restricted eating is the solution

if you wake up and throw food at your body you will just get hungry again after a couple hours and want to eat and eat. if you only eat in a window late in the day you won't get those wild blood sugar swings that increase appetite

also tv watching builds a bad habit of snacking. americans all sit in front of the tv and snack away and don't even realize it every evening. that is a killer.

also for cravings a tall glass of spring water with salt mixed in with go a long way

By finding the willpower you lost. Have you looked behind the hoover?
 
The best thing and hardest thing is to get rid of all food you should not consumer from your house. Only buy enough food for a few days and the food that fits your diet.
 
I like intermittent fasting, but you need will power and concious effort.
