wHi,

I'm looking for information on the best way to start weight lifting.. I don't want to go to a personal trainer as most of them are horrendous and totally clueless as to what they are doing.. I'm 5'5 and weigh about 53kg and am 25yrs old... Have slim build but after 2 children have a tummy and would like to get rid of this and just increase lean muscle all over...

Have started on a diet consisting of mainly eggs, porridge, turkey, fish, chicken, brown rice and veg... So far I'm not taking any supplements, are there any that anyone would recommend?

Thanks x

This is a really broad question. Your diet doesn't look too bad although it would depend on how much you were eating. The best way to start is to think about what works for you...how many days a week? how long in a day? Research a few different training programs and set some goals around that.
