Excerpt: Would you say running long distance or lifting weight would be a better solution to losing weight ? If you had to choose one or the other which would you take ??

    It depends on which one you are burning more calories with. Probably the running unless you lift intensely for 2 plus hours. Weight loss is really calories in versus calories out (expenditure) amd most of the calories out.....usually over 80%....is just your metabolic rate burning the calories for you. Cardio and activity account for the rest. So that gives you a clear picture how important diet is

    Running long distance hurts a lot, this is not healthy to do a marathon each week. I remember to have run on concrete and I was so proud to do this distance. Also, I slept without any problem and the next I was not able to move my knees. Also, I prefer bicycle for long distance with a lot of water and take care if you are on a highway. The sun and the road warm your head, this is a horrible feeling, never wait consequence. Make big lift is a safer solution.
