Eating paleo

I've been eating paleo (mostly - still on dairy) for about two weeks now. My period is 5 days late (not pregnant). My period is never regular but it's usually only off by a day or two. As it stands I don't even have a hint of PMS symptoms yet.
Is this typical? Or at least, not unusual?

Not sure if that's normal. Paleo and similar diets do work, but they also come with a lot of negatives like increased cardiovascular issues, nutritional problems, etc. A clean balanced diet of whole foods and cardio is a far better option for maintaining hemostasis and losing fat.

define what paleo is

because the paleo diet that people think is paleo.. drinking wine, eating chipotle, consuming dairy IS NOT REAL PALEO. i also know paleo people who eat pizza because some social media person said it was okay.

the concept behind Paleo is very simple.. you eat what humans would have eaten thousands of years ago. and last i checked there weren't wineries, fast food establishments or cows walking around in enclosures

1) So not paleo then
2) Unless your really restricting the calories it will not affect the period.

I honestly don't think its related to your diet. Periods can fluctuate a bit on timeframe due to many reasons. We are only talking a couple days different than normal right now. If you still haven't started within a few more days it starts to possibly mean something

As for diet, how is your fat intake? If you are getting lower fats than you need for hormone regulation and production it can definitely throw things off. That would be the only factor I see affecting it on diet
