Do women tolerate pain better than men?

In a documentary that I have seen, they said that women have a much higher pain barrier than men do. This means, that us women can support pain so much better than men can. Is that true?

It is true. Mother nature has foreseen the difficulties in giving birth and carrying a child, as well as other issues women might face, so it has given them the chance to have an easier time with I. However, this does not mean that women do not feel pain at all.

i really think it is true. the dentist is a perfect example.. if you ask a dentist he will say the men are the ones who always cry and want more lidocaine

No. This goes around all the time. In the most recent research it was shown not to be true.

It actually is true. Women have a higher pain tolerance then men. It's so they can endure the pain of child birth.

Men often don't give women the credit they deserve. They can take a lot and often put everyone else before themselves.

I am not sure if that is scientifically true but it wouldn't surprise me. Women do give birth after all!
