I have a lot of shoes/boots and a few were really, really old. My oldest pair of shoes was these pair of full-leather boots that I bought in the early 90s. Not worn for many years, so I had thrown them into the trash compactor...LOL. It sounds harsh, but for me, these old boots were disgusting and I mean DISGUSTING....EWWW!! Think these old pull-on boots contained fungas and bacteria!!! Nasty TRASH and NOT a donation items for Goodwill or Salvation Army stores.
Can you please advise if I am correct on this matter?

Did you say fungus? Then yes, you did the right thing , unless you would have rathered donate them to science!!!!

I had not worn them 6 or 7years. So I think they were unhygienic and NOT worth to donate. I am not a recycling nut, but for me, these old leather boots were DISGUSTING TRASH
