Working out with a slightly torn rotator

I have a slightly torn rotator cuff and it causes inflammation to go down my arm sometimes
I can still work out on it but if I go too heavy I'm sure it's going to tear
has anyone had a similar issue and how did you work out on it and what was the end results did you end up tearing it fully
 
I wouldnt workout with something torn or hurt at all
better take time off and only work lower body and cardio
