What weight is a good weight to start?

Start with the bar until you learn the mechanics of movement. Put the bar on blocks so that it stays in place if it had plates and start from there. Once you learn the movement correctly, you can start adding weight. Beginner manages to put weight each workout.

start with the bar for sure and use proper form.

i'm not impressed by the perma bulkers in the gym who throw on 4 plates on each side and slam the weights up and down. that isn't lifting sorry.. you are just breaking shit that other members have to pay for in the long run and causing injuries

Start with the bar and learn proper form. You can VERY easily injure yourself if you deadlift with improper form.

It's not a rush bro. Start with just the bar and slowly add weight as you become comfortable doing the exercise.
