What makes a BBer slow: Fat Mass or just Mass?

Everytime I go over 205 lbs, I become so much physically slower.

Is it the body mass, whether it's fat or muscle, or just an increase in bodyfat percentage?

I think it has more to do with bodyfat percentage. Opinions and experiences?

what do ya mean by slower? running, hand speed etc? Of course mass has something to do with it, but often times strength trained athletes muscles become semi tense and stay that way which can inhibit fluid motion.

For example, I noticed that my normal walking speed changes. I fell much heavier, and just moving in general becomes tougher. I'm just wondering, does it make a difference is I'm 205lbs at 12% BF or 205lbs at 17% BF as far as the feeling of being heavy goes.

Considering that you stretch and have not loss any range of motion. Fat mass will slow you down, muscle mass may actually increase your speed, point in fact look at a sprinter's, running backs or speed skater's thighs, their huge. Look at the arm size of Tyson and Lennox Lewis. Of course there are exceptions to every rule.:)
