What appear to be my weakest points?

What kind of look are you going for? I can't really pick any one thing out, I'd say you just need more overall mass (assuming you want to be a bodybuilder).

I lifted for a little less 3 months earlier in the year (Jan-March), and quit for no apparent reason. I started up again today. Here are my upper-body pics...let me know what I need to work on.

And no, I can't pose.

You don't need to worry about weak points. If you've only lifted for three months, and that was all the way back in March, consider thyself a clean slate.

Read all the training stickies and decide upon a routine that suits you. Read up on how to eat to gain muscle. Both are no-brainers really. Then work hard for at least 3-6 months.

I think by that time you might be able to assess "weaknesses" but even that's too soon.

Regardless, if you want, I'd wait to hear back from you after those 3 to 6, and would gladly assess your pictures at that time.

As it stands now you have a decent untrained physique...you've just got to TRAIN! Put on mass all over, from head to toe--then we can talk. You can do it, and will have fun in the process :)

DON'T FORGET YOUR LEGS.

ALL THE GOOD BODYBUILDERS HAVE MASSIVE LEGS.

ALL THE GOOD LOOKING ATHLETES HAVE PROPORTIONATE LEGS.

YOU NEED LEGS

Since you just started back training after 7 months off then there are no such thing as weak points...YET. Weakpoints come into play after you after been training hard for a consistent period of time and certain body parts are more developed than others.

You are getting back in the gym, so you are on the right track...I would just use the photos you took as before pics.

Ditto. *If* I had to pick something I'd say shoulders and upper traps could use some work. But seriously you prolly just need to focus on overall body mass and everything will take care of itself. The chest is off to a good start. Keep it up.
