my gym has been closed for 5 days

so im having to go to another gym to workout. prioblem is its dumbells are very light and asa result i;ll have to use a flat bench with barbell instead of dumbells.

it will most likely just be for today

will i be able to handle the same weight, more less etc? i realise DB bench requires more stabiliser recruitment so should i be able to put a bit more on the bar. i will have a spotter but he doesnt workout so might not know what to do

quick replies if possible, thats why i diodnt stick this on training

i hate my damn gym

Take the weight you use for each dumbell times two - that will be the weight for your second warm-up set.

I use 120 for presses and bench 315 for 8-10

so what you;re saying is

each individual dumbell i use X 2 = warm up

then add even more weight on top of that

cool, i;ll give it a go. first time for me ever in years for BB bench, ought to be fun :D

Yep. 100 pound bells = 200 on warm-up
