Teaching form before anything else?

Excerpt: I was trying to teach my little brother some lifts and hes so adamant on trying to lift heavy or as much as he possibly can. His form is obviously terrible but does not understand that. I have to drill form into him before he potentially hurts himself right?

    make him understand weight training you get better affect/results when you do it right vs. just doing heavy weight

    Yeah he needs to understand the mechanics first before he get bad form and potential injuries.

    Absolutely form is what he needs to learn first. He will only get hurt by using heavy weight with poor form.

    Building muscle is all about stimulating muscles. You aren't just moving weights from A to B. You are mindfully contracting muscles to move weights from A to B.

    HOW you lift the weight is actually more important then how much you lift.
