nobody is talking about muscle balancing unless they compete but isn't it still important to prevent injuries? my left pic seems to be smaller than my right and i want to build my upper chest. was thinking about doing inclines with a flat bar, or would dumbbell training be better? explain the science to your reasoning

a young raw lifter is going to have imbalances, those will balance over time

however you are right. many people do not work out everything like they should or overtrain certain areas

the most common imbalances we see in older guys are:

super strong front chest, super weak back
super strong upper back, weak lower back or vice versa
strong upper body and no legs

Just keep training and these things either sort themselves out or they are genetic. I wouldnt worry because you are going to be so much more critical than anyone else. I am guessing we wouldnt be able to tell.
