    Do you guys think it's necessary to stretch before lifting? I've had a few muscle injuries and I wonder if that's the reason

    you should never injure muscles when weight training. you should warm up properly and never use poor form or too heavy of a weight

    do not stretch before weight training, that is a great way to injure yourself

    I warm up then stretch. Not the other way round

    You want to do dynamic warm ups before lifting weights - things like arm circles, walking lunges etc.

    After your workout is when you do static stretching

    Warm up the muscles dynamically do not static stretch before a workout.
