strength and muscle training

Bros is training for strentgh and for muscle the same? or there is specific training for each goal? I'm looking for strength
to compete in weight lifting in out 10 months from now.
 
Powerlifting is all about moving as much weight from A to B

Bodybuilding is all about stimulating muscles. In bodybuilding, how much weight you lift isn't important. The weights are just a tool to stimulate the muscle.

Two very different sports. Lots of similarities but also lots of differences.

Strength training will be much lower rep, high weight, and longer rest periods. Just do a google search and find a program to follow.
