stiff legged deadlifts

Either Way...

When working with less than 50% of your 1-rep max you could probably get away with locking the knees. However, when working with heavier weights I always keep a slight bend in the knees to throw the stress on the hamstrings and away from the lower back. Good luck!

I keep a slight bend.......if i dont, i feel a god awful pull on my knee cap.

its only a minor bend to get me out of that position

Slight bend here as well, although lately I have been doing only conventional deadlifts. I can not think of any time where it would be a good idea to lock your knees, especially under the added stress of trying to keep you standing while you are holding extra weight.

Slightly Bent

Do them slightly bent and dont hunch over, make sure you keep your back fairly rigid througout the exercise.

I keep my knees slightly bent. I notice more of a stretch this way and I feel it is a safer position.
