Squating stance?

Heck yeah I can move a lot more weight with a wider stance. :)

With a wider stance...I can use more muscle groups...and more naturally strong ones as well.

Remember....ROM in the squat is defined by the distance that the hips travel...not the bar.

I squat both ways in my training. No reason to obmit an exercise or create a weakness.
