Sprints for leg development

Excerpt: The 100m runners have incredible legs, almost better than any bodybuilder. Could I just do sprints as my only leg workouts? Could I get 100 Meter dash legs if I train doing a few 100 meter sprints on leg day?

    Those sprinters also squad a fuck ton. The number one exercise for speed is squats.

    I am doing my masters in sports nutrition and work with a lot of sprinters. They do squats multiple days per week to build explosiveness and power in their sprint. Most sprinters weight train 5 days per week.

    You will not get the legs of a sprinter by just doing sprints. You also need to do weight bearing exercises like squats, hack squats, deadlifts, etc.

    Suck it up and hit a hard leg day!

    Sprints alone will not do it. Think of the pure strength and size of your legs. They need serious training with weights.
