Sprained ankle care tips while on steroids

Hi everyone, I twisted my right ankle two days ago and it is very swelled up, I'm hoping to not have to see a doctor because with my insurance by the time I get to see a specialist I will be recovered so would like some tips from you guys on how to treat a sprained ankle at home. I have seen a thousand tips online but I need the most effectives ones asap, I get cramp on the injured ankle once in a while and it hurts like crazy, my other question is how long would it take to be able to go back and squats and run, thank you.

It's different for everyone. This is were the tried and true R.I.C.E. comes in.
Rest, ice, compression, elevation. Anytime you're not on it, prop it up. Ice 20 minutes an hour and compress it all other times but while sleeping.

high ankle sprains are a very pesky injury man. trust me i have been there

it comes down to rest. if you do not rest it then it will linger for months, the first few weeks are most important.. you want to lay off of it if you want to heal up.

I would have it looked at. If there is something more than just a sprain going on you need to know that. If an ankle does not heal properly you can have issues for the rest of your life.

The best thing you can do to help a sprained ankle heal is to reduce inflammation in the area.

The best natural supplement you can take to reduce inflammation is fish oil. Start supplementing with 6-10g per day. It'll reduce inflammation in your ankle and bring the swelling down.

Another thing you could look into is ostarine ->

Ostarine is GREAT for healing injuries.
