    Resistance band training methods

    I recently listened to a podcast that said using resistance bands to increase power but apparently it doesn’t really work ? Anybody have any information on that ?

    You would to ask the podcaster why they believe that. Adding resistance bands to your weight training can help with certain parts of compound movements for sure.

    if you have never lifted before and start using bands then yes they would work to an extent, but if you are an advanced level forget it

    If that all I had access to I'd use them, but I see no benefit whatsoever in them for those that have access to actual weights

    You might aswell use weight primarily and you can incorporate resistance bands from time to time.

    I will try with dumbbells for negative strength instead of only push. I will give some news in two weeks about. I think this is good between to increase weight when you are not enough strong to get one more. Football players use them.
