Rep ranges and their effects on size

I think it was Ian King that made the statement that the rep ranges that produced the most growth for you as an early trainee, may not apply after 8 years of training. When I first started lifting I was 12-15 rep masochist and I grew pretty well. I always preferred higher reps for growth... as I got older and more advanced I seem to prefer 5-10 reps now.... and my growth has continued.

I still cycle my rep ranges, but my best advances seem to come with more weight and less reps nowadays.
