re veins in calves and the start of veins on quads a good indication of BF% starting to get down there?

possibly... also depends on what is in your system (eq, av gh or tren all good "vascular uppers"), genetics

I have very good genetics for vascularity. I always have veins in my arms, calves, and when i skip a few meals i get them in my quads, calves more then usual and the small ones all over my bi's, chest, etc.

not necessarily though it is a good sign.

mine come in my calves first and then the peronous & extensor digitorum longus (muscles on the shin). then the quads start coming in. this all happens around 10% for me.

vascualirty is largely genetic

even at contest conditioning I can get striations in my quads but very little vascularity...whereas my upper body gets sick with rope like veins

go figure
