I have about an inch and half between my pecs that I would like to close , I do bench press, push ups and barbell bench press mon, wed and saturday but I haven't been able to fix the problem, do you think it's genes problem? or should I try other movements, what would you recommend?

You have basically hit a plateau. It happens to all lifters.

Every program works and has it's own individual strengths and weaknesses. The key is to constantly change your program. Your body responds to adaptation. Keep doing the same thing over and over and your body doesn't need to adapt because it's used to what you're doing.

I recommend the Bill Starr 5x5 workout program -> https://www.elitefitness.com/forum/w...w!-375215.html
It's one of the most effective programs for building muscle size and strength.

Use a program for a couple months and then switch to a new program.

I bet it is just genetically how you are build. I would prefer to see separation too. Maybe post up a picture so we can get a better understanding of what you are describing.
