    Re: Push/Pull

I am running a push/pull split 4 days per week. Check out the thread http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=539627

Post 4 has most of the details, but I am still dialing in the routine. Im pretty much a beginner lifter.

    Re: Push/Pull

Made some of my best gains on such a split.

    Mon: Dead/row/curl
Tues: BB bench/db shoulder press/tri ext

    Thu: Squat/pullup/curl
Fri: Military press/incline db press/close grip bench

Sets and reps depended on the exercise, but generally in the area of
    4-6 reps of 4-6 sets

I have alternated this with 5x5 for a couple of years now

    Re: Push/Pull

Looks similar to my routine, except I dead twice and squat twice a week. Intensity and volume varies so that I dont hit the legs 4 hard times a week.

    Mon Chest / Tri
    Tues Back / Bi
Wen Heavy Cardio and Misc. areas needing extra work
    Thur Legs
    Fri Shoulders

    SAT/SUN off

Works for me and gives the various areas time to recoup

    Re: Push/Pull

Similar to what I run: lower push (Sunday), upper pull (Tuesday), lower pull (Thursday), upper push (Friday). Emphasis (I hope) is on my legs and back since I am working them earlier in the week. Also using maintenance loads on my last two days.
